POUND is Holland’s response to bands such as Attila, The Ghost Inside and Blind Witness.. Combining the best of both worlds with their distinctive American Metal/core sound, brutal A-tuned 7 strings, and the need to party wherever they are POUND has become an established name. Their debut EP ‘Disarray’ was released in the Netherlands on November 11th 2011 and made it possible to take it to the next level.

Back in time. Pound consists of a bunch of friends that got together about 5 years ago and played live shows almost non-stop for about 3 years. This intense work ethic is not for everyone so unfortunately some line-up changes happened in the past year. With this fresh bunch of dudes they took some time off for a period of writing and recording their debut EP ‘Disarray’ with producer Joost van den Broek, who worked and played with bands like After Forever and Ayreon. He is impressed by the songs and is convinced that the band has the potential of achieving international success. Today they are ready more than ever to get back on stage and party with all of you again.

Aside from their domestic shows, the band has a wider focus. They’ve played with some of the biggest names in music such as Soulfly, Veil of Maya, The Faceless, Born of Osiris, Romeo must Die, Textures, Walls of Jericho, My City Burning and so on. With this new release ‘Disarray’ in the pocket, POUND is motivated to share some grooving tunes with all you bands and head bangers out there.
